HUMIDITY!!!!!

Well, my fellow bloggers all I can say is sorry that I am a slacker! I don't know why it has been so hard for me to update my blog lately, I used to be so good at it. But don't worry I am determined to be better.

Bradshaw News:

Tyler finished tri 1 with exceptional grades as always (we are so proud of you Ty, thanks for all the hard work!). He has now started tri 2....only 8 more tri's yeah!!!! He recently got to cut up his first cadaver, props to him for not passing out, I know I would have ha! He is absolutely loving it, we made good decision coming here!

Ashlyn and I are having fun as usual. I am just barely starting to get over a little flu bug that I have had for about a week now. Yeah! So far Ashlyn and I have been to the Dallas Zoo, and Fort Worth Zoo with my family and Tyler's mom flew down to visit for a week and we went to the Fort Worth zoo with her. It was so much fun. Ashlyn's favorite part besides seeing the inside of a Hippo's mouth, was feeding the birds. It was so cool, you pay $1 and get a popsicle stick with bird seed on it, and you get to enter the bird cages. So many birds were flying around our heads it was definitely the funniest experience we have had thus far. We also went to the Bodies Exhibit while Tyler's mother was down visiting and it was awesome. Thanks Becky for taking us! It was a little disturbing and morbid, but at the same time extremely educational. I wish I would have had a babysitter for Ashlyn then I would have had a chance to enjoy it a little more. Tyler really loved it, considering he was about to to start his 2nd trimester where they would be dissecting cadavers it was something he really wanted to see and learn about.
I would definitely go again though, I recommend it!

Recently, Tyler and I have come to an agreement that we both wanted to live a healthier life, and set a good example for Ashlyn. So Tyler and I agreed to start running, if able, everyday. Or at least work out for 30 minutes everyday. We have almost completely stopped eating out, not that we did it a lot anyways but we now only eat out maybe once a week or every other week. All whole grains, low calorie in take, etc. pretty much be healthy we said. Since we started about a little over a month ago, Tyler has already lost a few pounds.......me on the other hand nothing. What the crap, I know right, that is exactly what I was thinking! One day I weight 5 lbs lighter, the next 5 lbs. heavier. Who knows, I feel better about myself though that's a plus right? We have been running about 2-3 miles a day. I am so proud of us!!!

Ashlyn is growing so fast, and is way smart. She can say way over 150 words (I lost count once I hit 150 ha). She is running, jumping, climbing, singing, twirling, dancing, etc. She is my little sweetheart! I have truly been blessed by my Heavenly Father with this sweet little Angel. She just loves on me and snuggles me all the time, she is just what I needed and currently need. Stay as sweet as you are never change dear!!!!

CAUGHT IN ACTION

I'll keep this short and sweet. I walked into Ashlyn's room the other day and guess where I found her.............?

She is so stinkin' cute, instead of rushing to save her, I risked it all on a pursuit to capture the perfect picture ha.

Oh and the next day guess where I found her? I had let her out on the balcony and turned around to get Jack some dog food. When I turned back around I found her popping a squat in Jack's chair. Let's just say there was some major disinfecting that took place after that ha. She even brought her snacks into the chair and was eating so gross!

She is definitely a climber now, yeah, it's just so exciting for everyone involved! jk

FIRST DENTIST APPOINTMENT

Okay don't judge me, but Ashlyn finally got her first dental exam today! Yes, I know she is 17 months old and that I should of taken her in months ago. But I didn't okay!!! ha Anyways it was so sad, as soon as she saw the Dentist in his scrubs she new something was up. I tried to distract her with the cartoons that were playing but she would not even hear of it! For those of you who have met Ashlyn, you know when she is upset she is upset, there is no in between. To make a long story short she hated the entire thing, I was even a little uneasy when the Dentist grabbed his sharp utensils and put them Ashlyn's mouth to scrap away the tinniest bit of plaque in her mouth. NO CAVITIES, YEAH!!!!! She was totally happy a few seconds after the torture was over cuz the assistant gave her a slinky. Oh how I love that slinky!

Just so everyone knows I am having a blast in Texas!!!! Yes, I miss my family and friends in Utah, the beautiful mountains and the snowboarding, don't get me wrong! With that being said though, it is nice knowing that there is an end to all the school Tyler has been going through. And so far he is doing awesome (I knew he would). And I think we have figured out a big cause to Tyler's migraines. He is allergic to something, we think dust, but we are so blessed that Claritin D helps ha. This whole time we have been going to all these doctor's who had no answers and have put him on all these heavy meds and the whole time he could have just been taking Claritin ha. Oh and Jack loves it too!!!

Ashlyn and I are best buds we go everywhere together. Her favorite place is the park inside the Galleria Mall. She can climb and play with other toys. I know it is so dirty in those public places but I don't seem to care that much since I keep taking her there. She is just so happy and is learning and growing so fast. She is climbing up and down the animals and bridges there. She is also loving going down the slides, she is actually laughing when she goes down, so cute! We also went to this really cool all wooden park with some friends, and Ashlyn and the little boy are now best buds! So people in Utah come visit us so you can see my little girl and how cute she is ha!

FINALLY SETTLED

Well, after Tyler and I picked up and moved in about 2 weeks across country, you could imagine our stress levels being through the roof. We had a lot to worry about like where we were going to live and how we were going to fill our other apartment so we wouldn't have to pay 2 seperate rents (hopefully this makes sense). Thankfully, everything got worked out. We are now living in Irving, Texas which is a lot closer to my family than I had previously anticipated, considering I thought I was going to be living in Dallas, but this is much better! Tyler has already started his classes 2 weeks ago, and is really enjoying it. He even brought home a spine the other day, ha it was so funny. He brought home this huge box, and I asked him "what's in the box?", he simply replied, "you'll see". He pulls out this huge skeleton of a spine haha! He was so proud of it. I am proud too.

Christmas was a lot of fun, I haven't been home for Christmas in 2 years. It could have been a little bit more relaxing if Tyler and I hadn't been apartment searching, but nonetheless it was still nice to be home. Ashlyn had a blast with my parents' horses and big back yard. We all played baseball one of the first days we got there, so much fun! We also hit a pinata on Christmas Eve, which Tyler ended up wearing on his head ha.

Ashlyn Update:

  • can run really well
  • loves to say no to everything
  • is getting jealous of Jack, and my phone ha
  • loves her hair sooo much that she will pull it out in hand fulls
  • loves The Jungle Book, she will watch the entire movie without making a peep
  • loves feeding herself and her little babies

  • loves walking backwards

Just thought yall might like a little update on her, she will be 16 months in 3 days and she weighs only 22 lbs. and is 29in. tall. Crazy huh? Till next time.

SUDDEN CHANGE!!!!

Well everyone we have good news, Tyler has been accepted to Parker Chiropractic School in Dallas, TX. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you that are in shock and are a little confused, let me break it down for you. Tyler and I had a "Plan B" if Dental school fell through, and it was Chiropractic School. However, I think that we no longer like to think of it as "Plan B" more like "Plan A" ha. Tyler has just been feeling more and more drawn to Chiropractic work and so we decided to throw in the towel for dentistry and pursue the chiropractic field instead, he seems to have more passion for Chiropractics (I wonder how many times I can say that word ha). So even though he can still be accepted to Dental School he has decided to pursue his new passion. Anyways to make a long story short he applied a few weeks ago, and just this past week we found out he was accepted, and now we start our journey of moving me back to Texas! We are extremely stressed out considering this week is finals week for Tyler and in less than 2 weeks we will be flying home to TX for Christmas. And in less than 3 weeks we will have to be all moved in to a new apartment in Dallas because his school starts January 10. So wish us luck everyone and I will keep you posted.

Oh and I just want everyone to know about my crazy little Ashlyn and how smart she is hehehe!

  • ball, mama, dada, Jack (our dog), dog, teddy, grandpa, grandma, book, hat, apple, uh oh, hi, bye, eyes, and much more I just can't think of them right now ha, how embarrassing!
  • she can sign: sleep, eat, more, milk, bath, crab, phone, ball, hat, etc.
  • noises: dog, sheep, snake, chicken, elephant, monkey, cow, horse, owl, lion, fish, car, plane, etc.
  • Body parts: nose, eyes, hair, head, fingers, hands, arm, ears, mouth, toes, belly button
Man I should have really done this on a day where I can remember what all she knows, I am so tired, Ashlyn kept me up for the past 2 nights because she is sick. Anyways I will keep you updated.

HOPES AND DREAMS

Well about a week ago I finally finished my tote bag that I have been working on for a while. A special thanks to Sam and Tyler for helping push me along to finish it. For Tyler for getting sick with the flu ha, and Sam for lending me the material and showing me how.

You guys are going to think I am crazy but I have been having dreams lately about sewing projects like sewing curtains and pillows, blankets, clothes, etc. It is like God is trying to tell me something, ha, I know right? I am really cool if I am having dreams about sewing ha. Well, tell me what you think about my tote, and if you guys have any ideas about what else I should sew that is relatively easy considering I am no pro....well just let me know.

THE END AND THE BEGINNING

So the end of a long dragging semester is at an end for Tyler and I, hoorah! And my favorite holidays are upon us. Tyler and I are going to be spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws and Christmas with my family yeah! I haven't been home for Christmas in 2 years, that seems like a lifetime to me. It is going to be a pain traveling home to Texas for our first time with tiny Ashlyn. She can't even sit through sacrament meeting I don't know how she is expected to be able to sit on my lap for a 3 hour plane ride. Oh well, its all for the greater good right?

Tyler just finished registering for the spring semester and he is going to have to take 18 credits this coming semester, errrr, I am not looking forward to not being able to see my husband come January. He is graduating in the summer so he is loading on the classes. I am so stoked that he is graduating soon yippie!

Who knows what we will do after that, hopefully move out Logan though!
