TOY STORY 3 ON ICE

Well with my new nanny job I have acquired some perks, which is a welcomed surprise. For example my boss has a suite at the American Airline Center where all the NBA, Hockey, and other events are held. And it just so happens that she gave me tickets to go see not only the Dallas Stars hockey team play with my friends but also I had the chance to take Ashlyn and some of my family to see Toy Story 3 on Ice! It was so fun, she had a blast seeing Woody and Buzz skating around. Oh and Tyler had fun buying Ashlyn and me some souvenirs too, but I think I enjoyed them more than Ashlyn, sad! She was so mesmerized by the lights, fireworks, and music. She definitely had a blast!

UNEXPECTED

Well, Tyler and I have been wanting some sort of toy in our backyard that our whole family would be able to use, since spring is here. Our grass is finally growing now and turning green, and it has been consistantly warm outside......so we decided on a trampoline. Tyler did the research and finally found a tramp for $50 on craigslist. What a steal of a deal! But when he got to the seller's house to pick it up he didn't realize he would be walking away with a bunny too, that's right bunny! They were giving away a bunny with its crate and food for free and asked him if he wanted it. So he called me (which in retrospect probably wasn't a good idea if he didn't want a bunny) and of course I said, "HECK YES!!!"

Anyone who knows me knows I am a sucker for animals, especially ones that have been rescued, which this bunny had been! So Ashlyn had 2 surprises when we got home that day! So fun I love surprises, especially when I am part of the giving process. Ashlyn just loves the bunny she will sit there forever just singing the bunny to sleep and stroking its soft fur. And she just loves the trampoline too, but I'm pretty sure its Tyler's new favorite toy. He is like a little kid when he comes home from school, just runs out to the trampoline and starts jumping, so funny/cute!

Anyways we named the bunny Jasper. He is so cute black with long floppy ears! Adorable. Oh and for those of you who were wondering, yes I can still do my back flip and aerial on the trampoline ha!

I will post pics soon!

Exciting News

SHE DID IT, I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT!!! SHE USED THE POTTY ALL BY HERSELF!

Just to update you guys I am not only a mother which is a full time job, but I am also a nanny and have another job where I teach a parent toddler class. I haven't started that job yet though, hopefully I will start next month.

Anyways I was putting the little boy to sleep that I watch and had been trying to get Ashlyn to go in the potty all day. I would say "Ashlyn you don't wanna make your panties sad do you, they don't like it when you go tee tee in them." I had tried this last week for a day and 3 panties and 2 pants later I realized she wasn't ready so I waited a week, and started again today. She tee teed in her panties once and the rest of the day I was on top of it. Rushing her to the bathroom every 15 min. and asking her every 5 min. if she needed to go. But nothing was happening. So I was putting the little boy to sleep and after he was asleep I walked out of my bedroom to find Ashlyn had pulled her panties down all by herself and she was sitting on her little potty. "Mom look yellow!" she said. I ran over and to my surprise she was telling the truth. I don't think I have ever been so happy. Hooray!

HOLIDAYS!!!!

I just love the Holidays!!! I didn't end up writing for Thanksgiving but I thought I would share now that I have some time. We had a lot of fun, we traveled with my parents down to Austin, TX to visit my sister Christina and her cute little family. We had Thanksgiving there and the food was awesome!!! The next day Tyler and my Dad played in a fund raising golf tournament put together by Christina and her husband for Muscular Dystrophy. My two nephews have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and I was so proud of my older sister for putting together such a self-less event. I know God was proud of her and everyone who helped that day! So bazaar that one can feel the Spirit so strong at a Golf tournament. I also had the chance to have tons of fun at the park playing tag with my nieces and nephew.

Christmas for sure is my favorite holiday, there is just so much to it....the music, the food, the presents, the decor, I just love it. I decided to have a Christmas/house warming party the other day and had my family over. It was so much fun! I made turtles, caramel and chocolate covered pretzel sticks, cheese ball, punch, and lil' smokies! We visited and got to play guitar hero world tour, I love that game. So ya it was pretty fun! Here are some pics of my fun x-mas decor and some awesome Goodwill finds I found the other day for Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas !

CRAFT TIME

I love new fun craft ideas, so the other day I decided it felt like a finger painting/window marker day. It was so beautiful outside that we went out and colored on the cement, painted, and used some window markers. I love my little girl, she is so fun!!!

MUSIC TIME

Okay so Ashlyn lately has been obsessed with "music time". What is "music time" one might ask......? Well I'll tell you it was created by none other than myself, just pop on some favorite jams, turn the stereo up, and dance your heart out haha. I know I'm weird, but I started doing it with Ashlyn since she was just a tiny little thing and now she has added her own little spin on it. She has to wear her tutu her Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw gave her. She loves it so much she wanted to wear it to the store, so of coarse I let her. She is so cute I just had to post some pics of our fun day of dancing, playing outside, hide-n-seek, and running errands. ENJOY!!!!

OH THE EXCITEMENT

Well the time has finally arrived, Tyler and I have looked and looked for a new place to live, preferably a house with a backyard for our dog and Ashlyn to play in. We were also looking for a place with enough rooms and the location had to be close to Tyler's school. Oh and did I mention it had to be cheap!!!! So we pretty much expected to end up living in an apartment for the rest of our school lives. BUT WE FINALLY FOUND ONE !!!!!!!

I am just so excited. It has 3 bedrooms and a den so pretty much 4 bedrooms, a huge fenced in backyard, a shed for all my stuff, is close to his school, and is cheap!!! We are just so blessed! Tyler and I decided to paint, I should have taken before pics but instead I just took after ones. Everything was so white to the cabinets to the floors to the walls to the appliances we needed some color. We had a lot of fun painting. We haven't finished decorating yet. In fact we haven't even really started, nothing is hanging on our walls, we pretty much just have our furniture moved in. It's a little old and out of date but I don't care!

We just love it! I have waited so long and my dream of finding a house to rent has finally come true, hooray!!!

I have been wanting to do something crafty for a while so I finally did. I created a cute $5 wreath. I bought all these fall leaves to go on it but I put the flowers on and decided I really liked it just how it was.

We had a pretty cool Halloween, Ashlyn was a bumble bee and was so stinkin' adorable. We went to our friends church function on actual Halloween and we went to our churches Trunk or Treat which was awesome. It was my first time ever going to one, it was way fun. We have had lots of fun getting into the spirit of the Fall season by going to lots of fun Pumpkin Patches.

I LOVE FALL!!!!!
