HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES

Well, this Halloween season has been pretty crazy. It seems like every day I had something going on between doctors appointments, working, errands, birthday parties, and Halloween scheduled events. So life has finally started to slow down again now that Halloween is over and I feel like I can finally breathe. Well here is a list of the fun things we were able to do as a family to celebrate October/Halloween:
1. At Ashlyn's school I threw a little Halloween party where we played lots of fun games such as the pumpkin hop, arts/crafts, pin the face on the Jack-o-lantern, etc.
2. Pumpkin patch: we we went with Tyler's mom when she was visiting and his Aunt and Uncle as well one day after school.
3. Church trunk or treat: Tyler and I dressed up as burglars and Ashlyn dressed up as Spider girl who captured us...the burglars get it?!
4. My parents threw a halloween party: It was really a birthday party for my sister, niece, and brother-in-law but it was halloween themed, very fun!
5. Went to the Fall Harvest where Ashlyn got the best painted face I have ever seen! She also got to go trick-or-treating at all the businesses surrounding Carrollton square.

5. And finally Halloween day my friends and I threw a Halloween party with a strobe light and all and after the party we went trick-or-treating. Tyler and I changed our outfits for Halloween day, I was a witch and Tyler was a hipster lol. So much fun!

Hope yall had a Happy Halloween, enjoy the pics!

YEE-HAW!!!!

Well, I can't believe it, I can't believe that I am 26 years old and my husband is 29 and my little baby girl is 4!!!!!! We are all getting so old soooo fast!!!! Time really does fly by.

Ashlyn's birthday this year fell on a Wednesday so we decided to just have a family day at Cici's, boy did I feel fat when I was done stuffing myself with greasy pizza, but sure was good!

We had her birthday party today, Saturday the 29th. It was originally suppose to be an outside b-day party so I invited tons of people approx. 38 people....unfortunately it decided to rain on us so we had it inside. I was extremely stressed about all those people being in my tiny house, mainly feeling bad for all the people that were about to be packed like sardines. It ended up turing out better than expected though. Tyler, his mom, and I were able to rearrange the furniture to make more room for every one and my parents brought lots of their western type decor for the party to help me decorate (since it was "Western themed"). We had face painting(thank you Jewel), balloon animals (Thank you Tyler), and little cowboy hats that they each could decorate with glitter glue and foam western stickers. We all had lots of fun decorating for the party. Thank you to everyone that came to support Ashlyn and to everyone that helped us get ready for the party.

BOY OR GIRL

Well I wanted to do something fun to find it out if I was having a boy or girl so this is what I decided to do. I went to my OBGYN and told him I did not want him to tell me the sex of the baby, but instead I handed him an envelope with a card inside that said..."Please circle one Boy or Girl. Thanks". After the appointment I took the envelope to a balloon shop and told them to put the correct color of the balloons in the box and seal it up. I came back in 30 min. to pick it up. I invited my family over for a "Guess the sex Party". I served pink/blue cupcakes and I had a jar for everyone's votes. It was sooo much fun!

I cant believe I'm having a boy!

UPDATE

Hello blog world, have you missed me?

Well here is the update on the Bradshaw family.......I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and am soooo excited to say the least. I am due on January 16th and find out if it is a boy/girl next week. Tyler really wants a boy but I am good either way. I still can't even believe I am finally pregnant again. I think the person that is the most excited would have to be Ashlyn though, she talks about being a big sister all the  time! It is very cute, she is going to be such a good helper. In my 1st trimester I was feeling pretty sick with nausea, fatigue, and headaches. I never threw up though, go me! I have a stomach of steel I swear haha. Now I am just purely headache ridden and tired but not quite as tired as the 1st trimester.

Tyler is in Trimester 9 at Parker College (for those of you who don't know, there are only 10 trimesters until he graduates). We are still trying to decide where we will move to after graduation here are current possibilities: Australia, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Texas. We are very excited/nervous/anxious for what awaits us come April 2013.

We have been pretty busy this summer with all our family coming to visit from Arizona and Utah for my brother Mark's wedding and to help my parents move. My parents have recently decided to move into a new home in Sanger so we have been helping them renovate the new house and move out of their old home.

Beside that there is nothing really new going on, just trying to live life to the fullest!

Oh I forgot to mention Tyler's 29th bday. I gave Tyler his very first Texas Ranger tickets in July. There are a few things on our "Before we leave Texas" to do list and going to a Ranger game was on it for Tyler. We had a blast.

I KNOW, I KNOW!

Well I know I have been kinda out of it for like a year but I just wanted to pop by my blog and update y'all on what is going on in my life. I am working now 4 days a week still teaching for the Lewisville Recreation center, I just opened a new class called Tiny Explorers and it is for 2-3 years old. So I am a lot busier to say the least. This is my first week working 4 days and it has been quite stressful. And I am not sure if I like it. But we will see, it gives Ashlyn the opportunity to play with kids everyday so she has been having fun, even though she still has her "I need mommy" moments in the class which is not ideal since I am the teacher but we work through it.

I had my 26th birthday this month and had a great day! I went swimming with Ashlyn at the local water park, got pedis with a friend and her kids and Ashlyn (it was her first pedi so she was so excited and had sooo much fun), then went out to eat with some friends and Tyler. Can't believe I'm over the 25 year hump!

Tyler is now in his 8th trimester at Parker College of Chiropractic and is in the open clinic now which is exciting! It is like a job now where he works from 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. He gets home just in time to tuck Ashlyn into bed now every night. We sure do miss him around here, but it is comforting knowing that he is graduating in less than a year now. Then who knows where we will be. He applied for an associate position in.....wait for it.......wait for it.......Australia! I know! He heard about the job opportunity thru his professor on campus and applied immediately. So hear is why we are excited about it. He will have the chance to work with and be mentored by a world renowned chiropractor there and have a chance to have his own office, where he is pretty much his own boss. The pay is amazing! Oh and because it is Australia.  This is why I'm not excited about it..... I would be forever away from family which is saddening. I'm terrified of sharks and sea crocodiles, spiders, snakes, jellyfish, etc. A little factoid for ya, did you know Australia has the most deadly creatures in the whole world. But hopefully I'm overreacting. The chances of me seeing these deadly animals is slim to none....right? Well we will see, I do enjoy surfing, laying on the beach, adventures, etc. so who knows. But what I can tell you is after 4 interviews he has the job and will possibly be moving there next year after Tyler graduates next April. We haven't fully accepted the job offer yet we want to keep our options open. But so exciting!

We also have a new addition to our family thats right....a new dog! Her name is Molly she is part Jack Russell Terrior/Chihuahua and she has got some spunk let me tell you. Jack just loves her and they play all the time. And Ashlyn is in love with her too.

We are still loving our house and are having fun decorating our home I posted some pics of some things Tyler and I have made for our house. We have been having fun finding old abandoned stuff and redoing it, whatever you call that! Well till next time.
We made these bookshelves for Ashlyn's
room out of  rain gutters.

You can't tell in the pic but Ashlyn really likes to pick
the paint off of the wall while she is trying to go to sleep, so fun, not!

The wood was originally brown and a friend gave it
to us for free so we just put some excess foam we had
lying around from our old memory foam mattress and cut it
and put fabric on it. I love it!

We found this dresser on the side of the road, it was originally cherry wood, and 2 of the drawers weren't working and one of the drawers were missing. So with a little paint and antiquing and new handles it is as good as new. Don't mind how messy it is.

Found the pic. frame on the side of the road
and painted and antiqued it. There was a
painted canvas for the pic. inside the frame so we just flipped
it over spray painted it black then bought the B
from Hobby Lobby for a $1 and painted it with
leftover paint we had. So whole thing only cost
us $1 love it!

We repainted our bedroom set which was brown to blue that we found at Lowe's for like $3
(it was mess up paint).

We found this at goodwill for $10. It was originally painted black
and white like a cow. We repainted and added vinyl writing to it.

A friend gave us a huge mirror for free, but it didn't have a frame.
So Tyler built this frame for it using old plywood we had lying around
behind our shed. Love it!

HALLOWEEN

We had lots of fun the month of October getting ready for Halloween. Ashlyn was able to go to a lot of different events where she was able to wear her Princess outfit. We went to our ward Trunk or treat, her friend's Halloween bday party, Downtown Carrollton square for trick or treating, then after all that practice it was time for the big day! Halloween! My parents were able to come down and go trick or treating with us which was so much fun. Ashlyn was also able to go trick or treating with her little friends too, she had so much fun!!!
