I KNOW, I KNOW!

Well I know I have been kinda out of it for like a year but I just wanted to pop by my blog and update y'all on what is going on in my life. I am working now 4 days a week still teaching for the Lewisville Recreation center, I just opened a new class called Tiny Explorers and it is for 2-3 years old. So I am a lot busier to say the least. This is my first week working 4 days and it has been quite stressful. And I am not sure if I like it. But we will see, it gives Ashlyn the opportunity to play with kids everyday so she has been having fun, even though she still has her "I need mommy" moments in the class which is not ideal since I am the teacher but we work through it.

I had my 26th birthday this month and had a great day! I went swimming with Ashlyn at the local water park, got pedis with a friend and her kids and Ashlyn (it was her first pedi so she was so excited and had sooo much fun), then went out to eat with some friends and Tyler. Can't believe I'm over the 25 year hump!

Tyler is now in his 8th trimester at Parker College of Chiropractic and is in the open clinic now which is exciting! It is like a job now where he works from 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. He gets home just in time to tuck Ashlyn into bed now every night. We sure do miss him around here, but it is comforting knowing that he is graduating in less than a year now. Then who knows where we will be. He applied for an associate position in.....wait for it.......wait for it.......Australia! I know! He heard about the job opportunity thru his professor on campus and applied immediately. So hear is why we are excited about it. He will have the chance to work with and be mentored by a world renowned chiropractor there and have a chance to have his own office, where he is pretty much his own boss. The pay is amazing! Oh and because it is Australia.  This is why I'm not excited about it..... I would be forever away from family which is saddening. I'm terrified of sharks and sea crocodiles, spiders, snakes, jellyfish, etc. A little factoid for ya, did you know Australia has the most deadly creatures in the whole world. But hopefully I'm overreacting. The chances of me seeing these deadly animals is slim to none....right? Well we will see, I do enjoy surfing, laying on the beach, adventures, etc. so who knows. But what I can tell you is after 4 interviews he has the job and will possibly be moving there next year after Tyler graduates next April. We haven't fully accepted the job offer yet we want to keep our options open. But so exciting!

We also have a new addition to our family thats right....a new dog! Her name is Molly she is part Jack Russell Terrior/Chihuahua and she has got some spunk let me tell you. Jack just loves her and they play all the time. And Ashlyn is in love with her too.

We are still loving our house and are having fun decorating our home I posted some pics of some things Tyler and I have made for our house. We have been having fun finding old abandoned stuff and redoing it, whatever you call that! Well till next time.
We made these bookshelves for Ashlyn's
room out of  rain gutters.

You can't tell in the pic but Ashlyn really likes to pick
the paint off of the wall while she is trying to go to sleep, so fun, not!

The wood was originally brown and a friend gave it
to us for free so we just put some excess foam we had
lying around from our old memory foam mattress and cut it
and put fabric on it. I love it!

We found this dresser on the side of the road, it was originally cherry wood, and 2 of the drawers weren't working and one of the drawers were missing. So with a little paint and antiquing and new handles it is as good as new. Don't mind how messy it is.

Found the pic. frame on the side of the road
and painted and antiqued it. There was a
painted canvas for the pic. inside the frame so we just flipped
it over spray painted it black then bought the B
from Hobby Lobby for a $1 and painted it with
leftover paint we had. So whole thing only cost
us $1 love it!

We repainted our bedroom set which was brown to blue that we found at Lowe's for like $3
(it was mess up paint).

We found this at goodwill for $10. It was originally painted black
and white like a cow. We repainted and added vinyl writing to it.

A friend gave us a huge mirror for free, but it didn't have a frame.
So Tyler built this frame for it using old plywood we had lying around
behind our shed. Love it!
