Easter Day * 6 Months Old

Well this past weekend we got a chance to go down to visit Tyler's family. His sister Tara and her boy Beckam were there as well. Ashlyn was so cute with him. Even though he is only 2 months old he is pretty much the same size as Ashlyn, so fun. We ate, played, and ate some more!

Celebrating 2 Years

So Tyler and my 2 year anniversary is May 5. Tyler decided to surprise me early this year to celebrate our anniversary. So early this week he kept asking me if I wanted to go see Wolverine, and me being gullible I said ok, I had absolutely no idea that he was trying to surprise me. I found a babysitter for Ashlyn, and then we were off. We made a deal that we would go out to eat at Firehouse (where Tyler works) and then hurry to the movie. When we got there the manager took us to the our table which was in the expansion (where the parties are held), I was completely confused why he was taking us back there but didn't think much of it. When he opened the door I saw a picture of me on the big plasma t.v. that they have back there. I soon realized that it was our wedding video playing then once I looked around, I saw there was a candle lite table decorated with a table cloth and everything waiting there for us. We were completely secluded back there in this big room. I was completely surprised. Tyler told me, "Happy Anniversary, hey if I wanted to surprise you for it I had to do it early." I was like "what the what"?! Completely surprised, we ate then I was still thinking we were going to the movie, however he told me to go get in the car and then he handed me a blind fold. I was still confused why I would need that if we were just going to the movies. I know I am so slow! Anyways to make a long story short, we didn't go to the movies (Wolverine isn't even out yet ha, he lied to me) he ended up taking me into a building, up two flights of stairs, and opened a door (I was still blind folded this whole time). He took the blind fold off, he had taken me to the new Marriott in Logan. The Honeymoon sweet! There were roses and a small wrapped box on the bed. It was so romantic. Do I have an awesome husband or what!? I love him. Oh ya the small wrapped box protected a beautiful diamond ring in it I love it. Happy Anniversary to me!

IS SPRING HERE? * 6 MONTHS OLD

Okay so for the past month or so, Logan has been having really sketchy weather. One week it will be really warm and the next it will snow what is up with that. I cannot tell you how much I want, need Spring to be here to stay. I am going mad. Anyways Tyler and I decided to take advantage of the weather one sunny day and go to the park. Ashlyn was so cute, she loved it. She loves grass, the sun, the wind...wait she is starting to remind me of myself ha. She does get something from me.

ME WANT FOOD * 6 MONTHS OLD

There are only a few things, my little lima bean loves and one of those is food. She is eating baby food now and is truly enjoying it. She can even tell when it is time to eat. She watches me get her food ready, and grab her a bib, she starts to get really excited. She will start fussing, and hitting her high chair tray, and kicking....a lot. She is so cute, and she sure is messy.

She also loves Jack, every time he comes into the room where she is, she starts squealing, kicking, and smiling. It's adorable. Jack doesn't really notice her existence except when she has food all over her after she gets done eating. He tries so hard to clean her up. Soon enough though I have a feeling they will be the best of buds. They will both want to play all the time.

DISCOVERY * 6 MONTHS OLD

Ashlyn loves her bath time. She is just barely old enough now that she is starting to notice that she can kick and that there will be a result to her powerful ways....a SPLASH! I think it still startles her in the beginning of bath time then she eventually warms up to it, then she loves it.

ROLLING MACHINE * 6 MONTHS OLD

Okay let me just start off by saying I know I am such a slacker when it comes to keeping my blog updated, so I am going to try to do better. So little Ashlyn lynny lou, I tend to call her by nicknames and this is one of the many, is now 6 months old; time flies by when you are getting more sleep. At her last doctors appointment she weighed 14.5 lbs and was 26 inches long. She definitely is tall and skinny. She can sit up, squeal, laugh, hold her bottle with small amounts of help, and roll over from her back to stomach and stomach to back without a problem. In fact, I think she is quite proud of it, she rolls everywhere. Okay don't think I am a bad parent but just the other day I left Ashlyn on a blanket on the floor in her room for litterally like 2 seconds, went to throw a piece of trash away came back and I couldn't find my baby. Panic set in, I couldn't figure out where she could have gone. Did I miss place her? Could I have miss placed her? Then I heard her squeal. Jack and I followed the noise and found her in her closet just smiling away. She had rolled all the way in there in the matter of 2 seconds. Now I never leave her alone, I am a quick learner believe it or not. She is just so mobile, I can't wait till she starts crawling. I definitely will need to baby proof my place.
